I. Hindustani Classical Forms (उत्तर भारतीय शैलियाँ) Prabandh (प्रबंध): English: Prabandh was the dominant musical form before the advent of Dhrupad. The word literally means "well-bound." It consisted of various components called Angas (like Swara, Biruda, Padam, Tenaka, Patam, and Tala). It followed strict Sanskrit poetic rules and laid the foundation for modern Raga-based music.
